I got this because I was deaf for twenty years and last year I got a cochlear implant so I can hear again. But the implant is not a miracle "cure". Im still very much hearing impaired. So when I saw this I thought it might be interesting to give myself hearing tests as my hearing improves "the cochlear implant is an on going process that takes time. One problem with this app for me. I only have an implant in one ear. My other is still deaf. So it throws off my results when using this app. It would be great if I could set it to just test my one ear. Over all a pretty neat app. Im going to show it to my audi and ask their opinion at my next mapping appointment. Ive had more hearing tests then I can remember and this app had the feel of a real test. Ill see how accurate it really is.

This is a Great app! Same results as professional test i just had.

The app appears quite accurate, and provides useful information at the end of the test. Very nice!

Its ok but a significant defect is that no db are given. This prevents useful infomation to compare over time, with other tests, etc. It is more for fun.

I am a Health provider in need to know of any changes in hearing my patients. Uhear is a good tool (a simple almost acurate one) to keep track of this. It also helps to train younger patients to real tests.

I never write reviews, but I think it is necessary to warn everyone! I used this test 3 weeks ago, and I apparently damaged my hearing!! I developed a high pitch ring on my right ear that does not let me sleep or perform my daily activities! I am not exaggerating! I am hoping it will go away soon before I lose my sanity! If you need to test your hearing, go to a professional!

Imma girl and i tried the app. Its not bad but id recommend a pro. Who made this app anyway cause there is no need for an app like that.

To person with ringing in their ear. Ive had high pitch hissing, ringing in my ears since 19. Im 22 now. It suuuucks!! I will have it for the rest of my life, a long with high frequency hearing loss and sound sensitivity. I hear it 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. High pitched ringing hissing and its various tones. Protect your dam hearing!!! Wear earplugs when going to loud concerts or fireworks and shooting guns. Never wear In ear - ear buds. They are very bad for u and cause permanent hearing loss. Please take it from me... You dont want to live with this noise in ur head all ur life. And Im only 22 ;,(. Protect ur hearing pleaseee !!!

It said it was installed, but it wasnt! It does not install! Ive tried several times but failed every time. And the wi-fi was on! Please fix this!

While taking the sensitivity test I closed my eyes to focus on the sound. It would have been nice to hear an auditory confirmation that my button presses were being registered and that the test was done.

Tried the app on iPhone and on iPad. None of the tests will start. The last step is not highlighted. Dont waste your time.

App shuts down whenever I try to run the test.

This app worked when I first got my iPad last autumn. But now I have the same problem another user reported. After setting the volume to 50%, the choice of headphone device remains grayed out, and I cant complete the hearing sensitivity test. I just updated to the latest version of iOS six, and it makes no difference.

The start button stays greyed out.

This app doesnt work for my iPhone 5.

I lifted this app and it functioned great until the new iPhone software update to 7.0 The controls no longer function.

I was excited to test myself but I cant open a test. It either grays out the Start button so I cant begin a test or it crashes. Seriously? Make this compatible with iOS 7 and iPhone 5s please!! Otherwise, you have one less customer..
